House Rules

1. The magic items of characters that die can be partially lost. To be precise, at the moment of a character’s perma death, a number of levels worth of magic items equal to at least twice the characters level will be disenchanted and become mundane items. Example: If a 4th level character dies 8 levels worth of magic items will become mundane. That could be 1 level 2 and 3 level 2 items (total 8), 8 level 1 items, 4 level 2 items, 1 level 8 item, 3 level 3 items, 1 level 5 and 1 level 4 item, OR 1 item leveled higher then twice the character’s level. The player decides on the combination.

2. Characters that die can be raised. Raising a character will impose a -1 consitution penalty to that character in ALL CASES.

3. The player may ask from the team to have the dead character raised. If the team decides to proceed in raising the character, the ritual to raise the character will be restoring the energy to the magic item as well.

4. If the character is not raised the player will create a character with the following method:

Do twice Roll 4d6 keep 3 higher, reroll 1s, six times If the set of 6 numbers provides an ability bonus lower then +4, the roll doesnt count If both sets of 6 numbers provides an ability bonus lower then +6, they can be replaced by a point buy set. If the player wants, there is the option of discarding both rolled sets and go for broke. Go For broke: Discard both previously rolled sets, they are not retrievable. Roll 4d6 keep 3 higher, reroll 1s, six times If the set of 6 numbers provides an ability bonus lower then +3, the roll doesn’t count If both sets of 6 numbers provides an ability bonus lower then +5, they can be replaced by a point buy set.

Allocate the scores to your abilities, select race and class as normal. You have 100gp + (level * 25gp) for equipment plus Level +(Level/2 rounded up) levels worth of magic items. You can allocate these magic items levels to a number of items equal to your level -1. No magic item can be higher then your level. Example, an 8th level character would start with 100 +200 gold piece and 12 levels worth of magic items that he can allocate to up to 7 different items, non of which would be able to be more then 8th level.
